Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago (PHIMC) is pleased to announce the availability of funding for Expansion and Enhancement of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) in Chicago and the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP). The total award amount for this funding opportunity is $700,000 and will fund a cohort of agencies. This RFP will be issued by PHIMC as the Lead Organization on behalf of Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH), Office of Violence Prevention and Behavioral Health.

Basic Eligibility Information:
- Be a 501(c)(3) organization
- Provide services within the City of Chicago
- For proposals that include outpatient methadone treatment services, maintain an Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (DASA) license
- Be in good standing with the City of Chicago for respondents that have delegate agency agreements
The RFP aligns with CDPH Healthy Chicago 2.0 priorities for substance use disorders services. The purpose of this investment is to help organizations in Chicago increase capacity for MAT service provision for OUD by: 1) expanding the availability MAT services; 2) enhancing MAT service quality and comprehensiveness; and 3) leveraging resources through collaboration and linkage.

Letter of Intent to Apply
PHIMC strongly encourages all interested applicants to submit a letter of intent (LOI) indicating the organization’s intent to respond to this RFP. Applicants are encouraged to complete the LOI with information outlined in Appendix A by Friday, April 14. LOIs should be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Pre-Proposal Conference took place on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 1 PM – 3 PM at the Chicago Department of Public Health Training Center. The conference provided an overview of this RFP, described the proposal review process, and answered questions from participants.
