Become a POP Champion
Through the course of developing POP and working on routine HIV screening and affirming care, we have identified many heroes already working in care settings. These individuals’ stories of providing routine HIV screening and affirming care inspire others to do the same. POP elevates these heroes into Champions.
Champions lead peers in understanding their role in creating affirming environments. Champions encourage peers to take a stand so that all people in our care are comfortable and accepted, and facilitate opportunities to keep these conversations alive.
POP supports heroes and Champions throughout care teams to promote sustainable culture shifts in service delivery.
A POP Champion leads peers in:
- Reducing biases and stigmas
- Encouraging peers to be leaders
- Keeping the conversation and initiative alive
